My Story
I’m Elle Em Jaye, a writer, guide, and woman who has rebuilt her life more than once. Through homes, endings, new beginnings, and the uncomfortable spaces in between, I’ve learned that starting again doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful. After living through multiple chapters of divorce, relocations, identity wobbles, and more reinventions than a 90’s boy band, I now offer gentle, practical guidance to women who feel stuck and aren’t sure where to begin.
A Life Served Messy is my invitation for you to start again. For women navigating change, the visible kind, and the quieter kind that arrives without warning. Softly, bravely, and at your own pace. I write with warmth, clarity, and quiet humour, creating a compassionate roadmap for women rebuilding their lives, their homes, and their sense of self.
When I’m not writing, you can find me with a coffee, a notebook, and definitely a slice of cheesecake, because emotional courage pairs well with something sweet.

What I write
I create guided journals and workbooks for midlife women rebuilding their lives after divorce, loss, empty nest and separation.
Women navigating the tender, uncertain space between endings and new beginnings. Each resource, such as Stuck to Starting or Divorce Design, offers gentle prompts, practical tools, and compassionate guidance for rebuilding your life at your own pace, without the pressure to have it all figured out.
I’m also working on a memoir about love, loss, moving house (a lot), crossing countries, emotional renovation and the long, messy journey to realising that the answer was never in the next postcode.
